Now my web site looks professional, cool, and clean!
It was completely revised on 24 July 1999.
On 25 July 1999 the ABOUTUS section was completely
revised, including the Statement of Faith. It was
expanded to answer queries received since its posting.
On 9 October 1999 our CompuServe addressed changed from
76476,1556@compuserve.com to simply SOTLBBS@cs.com.

Today the FUN page was updated to add the copyrighted link to
Reverend Fun. Enjoy this cartoon at each update!

Today we added a pop-up survey from Beseen.com.
We also added a Message Board from Beseen.com.

Today we added a full-service Computer Store and
a full-service Educational Products Store.
Simply click on the Products and Services icon to visit them!
On the links page we added a fairly good site search engine.
This should make your searching of our great number of sites
a bit easier.
24 June 2001
Effective 25 June 2001, the direct dial-in number will
change to 804 590 0016 here in Central Virginia. Make
sure that your modem's dialing program has the new
number rather than the old one.
Other notes: the website is updated quite often, but
I neglect to update this page telling you what is
going on. There are always changes to the LINKS page
and the Newsletter comes out each 2nd Saturday, plus
other changes as necessary.
The Computer Store and the Education Store were
discontinued as of this date.
7 July 2001
Effective today the direct dial-in number will
be discontinued as well as the FAX number.
We will begin immediate testing to be fully on the WWWeb
by the end of the summer of 2001.
1 JANUARY 2002
The direct dial access has been eliminated.
Callers may now access the BBS through the web site!
Simply click on the Bulletin Board selection from the Main Page
or the Hobbies button from any other page.
25 FEBRUARY 2002
The PARACHAT chatroom has been removed because of excessive
pop up ads. Users of the chatroom may recommend a new source
for consideration.
6 JUNE 2002
My former ISP suddenly shut down after seven good years without
warning. This site was offline for about a week in a mad scramble
in getting a new feed. All is now well and we came back online
on 12 June 2002.
22 JUNE 2002
Revamped all the pages adding a floating menu bar. This bar replaces
the longer loading menu icons. You must have JAVA enabled!

Beseen.com closed their sites this month. This necessitated
moving the online chatroom to a new site hosted by BibleDatabase.
This does not negate using this BBS' conferences and echoes and
forums. This simply provides an alternative.

Completely redesigned most pages in this site to effect translation
from English into many different languages. These pages are marked

After having been involved heavily in the BBS Networks since May 1991,
we reluctantly shut down that part of our service because of declining
usage at this location. It may interest future readers of this page
that these BBS Message Networks were the precurors to the e-mail system
that is currently in use today. These message networks are now heavily
used in Africa and Asia because of the exorbitant cost to transmit even
one message. The Servant of the Lord BBS is proud to have participated
in this vital service over the years. And thank you to those who helped
make this service a success. On the

page you will find links
that may help you research a little more about this great hobby. Some
links may no longer be active, but those that are will let you in on
an open secret.

Effective this date we have eliminated our specialty link pages
as the effort to maintain their currency began to be overwhelming.
In order to provide effective link service, we have revised our opening
page to look for subject matter relevant to Christians everywhere. This
page will be updated as subjects are submitted to us for inclusion.
